For Certified Divers

St. George’s Caye Resort teaches all certification courses under Scuba Schools International’s (SSI) internationally-recognized training system. If you are looking to get certified, there’s no better place to do so than Belize. While all certification courses can be completed in their entirety on-site at the resort, the dive team recommends completing the written course work on-line prior to arrival so that you can spend more time in the water and less time in the classroom.

SCUBA Skills Update

$110
If you have not been diving for a while, one year or more, or if you just want to be sure of your skills and comfort, our instructor will refresh your diving and equipment knowledge and skills and will take you out on a dive for a “tune up.”  You will then be ready to continue diving during your vacation.

Advanced Open Water certification

$200 plus $60 each for six required dives
This is the next step to improving your skills as a certified diver.  It entails specialty training in different knowledge and skill areas underwater.  See the SSI website or contact us for additional information.

Nitrox certification

$150 plus $70 each for two required dives
Classroom training covers theory of Nitrox gas mix and comparisons to breathing compressed air.  Course includes two open water dives using Nitrox under the direct supervision of our instructor.
